What We Offer
Hill Country Catering Company is the vision of Executive Chef Shannon Van Dorn. Years of working Austin's top restaurants and event kitchens inspired the vision of HCCC. Chef Van Dorn wanted to bring the taste of top restaurants to weddings, private parties and social events without sacrificing quality, seasonality or sustainability. With HCCC, she has put together her A-Team of event chefs, front of house staff and bartenders to make Farm to Catering a reality at Austin-area weddings and events.
We star farm fresh, local ingredients by partnering with ranchers and farmers from Central Texas to the Gulf Coast. This seasonal, sustainable vision of catering brings your guests closer to their food source and grounds them in their environs.

The classic choice for larger gatherings. Have our staff serve your guests or choose self-service. To add flair, include an action station for made-to-order menu items.

HCCC is the vision of Chef Shannon Van Dorn. She has worked in some of the most celebrated kitchens Austin has to offer.
After graduating from the Carlos Alvarez College of Business at UTSA she went into to culinary with an eye toward one day having a shop of her own. To that end, she attended the Escoffier Culinary School in Austin and went to work for Texas' no.1 Chef of 2019, Phillip Spear in his restaurant, Bonhommie. From there she has worked in kitchens such as Bryce Gillmore's Odd Duck, Stella at The Westin Downtown, Holy Roller, Hank's, Facebook and more.
She became Event Sous Chef for the Peached Tortilla and that sealed her passion for catering Austin's top events and weddings. Since then, she has been event lead for the top catering companies in Austin such as La Pera, The Royal Fig, Whim and the Vanilla Orchid.
Now she has gathered her A-Team of chefs, servers and bartenders and set out to build her own company focused on exceptional service and all the taste Central Texas has to offer.
